Dr. Nick Cavros is a cardiologist at Cardiovascular Institute of the South at Lafayette General. He received his medical degree from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in Greece. He then completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine in Norfolk, Virginia where he also served as chief resident.
Dr. Cavros is board certifiedin cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. He is also a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the American College of Physicians, American Medical Association, and the American Society of Internal Medicine. Before joining CIS, he served as the Assistant Director of the Lankenau Hospital Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Program and Interventional Research in Pennsylvania.
Dr. Cavros specializes in performing coronary and peripheral interventional procedures to treat coronary artery disease and peripheral artery disease. He has written, researched, and served as faculty at international conferences on these topics.
