5/20/2013 CIS Clinics in Raceland & Morgan City Earn Vascular Testing Accreditation
 CIS clinics in Raceland and Morgan City have been granted a three-year term of accreditation in vascular testing by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC). This shows that these clinics are committed to providing a high level of patient care and quality testing for the diagnosis of vascular disease.

LAFAYETTE—On Monday, January 21, Cardiovascular Institute of the South (CIS) physicians were among the first in Acadiana to use the Edwards SAPIEN heart valve to perform a transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) procedure at Regional Medical Center of Acadiana.

7/9/2012 CIS Cardiologists Use New Technique
 Cardiologists at Cardiovascular Institute of the South are now utilizing new stand-alone monitors in the catheterization laboratories at Baton Rouge General to more easily perform cardiac catheterization procedures through the left wrist. Growing literature shows that performing this procedure through the left wrist instead of the right wrist results in a greater success rate and less risk for the patient.
