 James B. Lam, MD
Cardiologist
Dr. James B. Lam, a native of Hong Kong, graduated Summa Cum Laude in engineering from the University of Pennsylvania before earning his medical degree with honors at Jefferson Medical College. Following a residency in internal medicine at Lankenau Hospital in Philadelphia, he completed a three-year cardiology fellowship at Mayo Clinic.
In 1985, Dr. Lam moved to Louisiana, joining a 12-member cardiology and cardiovascular surgery group practicing at West Jefferson Hospital. He moved to Morgan City in 1990 where he formed a private practice prior to joining the CIS Morgan City staff in 1994.
Dr. Lam is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, nuclear cardiology and adult transthoracic echocardiography. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honorary Society. He is the author and co-author of a number of articles and abstracts in his specialty.
