LAFAYETTE- Cardiovascular Institute of the South (CIS) announces the addition of Dr. Kevin A. Courville to its team of cardiologists. Dr. Courville will continue to see patients at the CIS Lourdes Campus clinic at 4809 Ambassador Caffery Parkway, Suites 480. This location has four exam rooms and diagnostic testing, including lab, stress testing and ultrasound.
Dr. Courville completed his undergraduate degree at McNeese State University and his Doctorate of Medicine at SABA University School of Medicine in the Netherlands. His internal medicine residency was completed at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Baton Rouge. He completed his cardiology fellowship at Ochsner Clinic Foundation, where he was named chief fellow. He attended the University of Alabama-Birmingham where he completed his fellowship in interventional cardiology.
Dr. Courville is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, nuclear cardiology, and advanced heart failure and transplantation. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Heart Failure Society of America. He is also a member of the Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, the Louisiana State Medical Society, the Lafayette Parish Medical Society and the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology.
