Interventional Cardiologist
Dr. Christopher Paris joined the physician team at Cardiovascular Institute of the South in 2012.
A native of Houma, Dr. Paris earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Nicholls State University in Thibodaux. He received his doctorate from the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center (LSUHSC) in New Orleans and completed his internal medicine residency at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. Both his cardiology and interventional cardiology fellowships were completed at Ochsner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans.
Dr. Paris is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, and nuclear cardiology. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. He is also a member of the Louisiana State Medical Society, the American College of Physicians, the American Academy of Family Physicians, and the American Medical Society.
Before joining CIS, Dr. Paris cared for patients at Forrest General Hospital for the Hattiesburg Cardiology Clinic in Mississippi. He has earned numerous awards during his studies, including the LSUHSC Board of Alumni Achievement Award and the Internal Medicine Award of Excellence. Additionally, he has contributed multiple published reviews to various medical publications.
