Cardiologist
Dr. Katherine Brennan is a cardiologist at Cardiovascular Institute of the South (CIS) in Lafayette.
Dr. Brennan attended Loyola University in Baltimore, Maryland where she earned a bachelor’s degree in biology and graduated summa cum laude. Her studies continued at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where she earned her doctorate, and returned for her cardiovascular disease fellowship. Her internship and residency in internal medicine were completed at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts.
Dr. Brennan is certified in internal medicine and echocardiography. Her clinical focuses include general cardiology, echocardiography, prevention, and cardiovascular disease in women. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and many additional honor societies. In her spare time, she enjoys playing the piano, attending group workout classes, and baking.
