Interventional Cardiologist
Dr. L. Shea Hailey is an interventional cardiologist at Cardiovascular Institute of the South in Meridian.
He graduated magna cum laude with his doctorate of osteopathic medicine from University of Health Sciences in Kansas City, Missouri. His internal medicine internship and residency were completed at Baptist Health Systems Inc. in Birmingham, Alabama.
Dr. Hailey continued his post-graduate training at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, where he completed fellowships in cardiovascular medicine and interventional cardiology.
Dr. Hailey is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and interventional cardiology. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Intervention, and he is a member of the Mississippi Medical Association.
Dr. Hailey has earned numerous awards including the A.H. Russakoff M.D. Award for Exceptional Devotion and Commitment to Patient Care. He has also served on various volunteer committees, such as the Heart Council and the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian. He has been published in the American Journal of Pathology for research related to the detection of early acute myocardial infarction.
