Cardiologist
Dr. William Gurdin is a cardiologist at Cardiovascular Institute of the South in Lafayette. He primarily works at Ochsner Lafayette General as a hospitalist.
Dr. Gurdin received a bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado. His doctorate was earned through Sackler School of Medicine/New York State/American Program. He completed his internal medicine internship at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, New York, where he also completed his internal medicine residency. His cardiology fellowship was completed at St. Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri.
Dr. Gurdin is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, nuclear cardiology, and echocardiography. He is trained in diagnostic cardiac catheterization, transthoracic echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and cardiovascular computed tomography angiography. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
